Before The Accident

Here is J91 before I had been given it totally standard only having done 33000 miles since new in 1991

My Car the day before my birthday when I was given it all wrapped up

The 2007 London to Brighton was a couple of days after my birthday so I bought myself a new light bar with birthday money as that is what I had always wanted if I had a mini

I then finally passed my driving test and for christmas I got a nice shiney exhaust twin DTM large bore, chrome door handles and a nice small steering wheel

Around this time I had fitted a new stereo (not that it had one in the first place) this required complete new wiring for the head unit and speakers, I have 2 on the rear shelf and 1 in eache door (can just see next to seat on passenger door)

After 5 or so months of general upkeep and tinkering I had decided to buy myself some new wheels, I origionally  was going to get some 12" minilights in graphite (grey/silver) but i was offered some 2nd hand but never been used 5 spoke revolutions with new yokohama A539 tyres for £200 so for my 18th birthday I used some money that I saved and birthday money to go and collect them, they look the nuts and they are something different as you dont see many cars with them on.

I had decided I wasnt sure if I like the car with 4 fog lights so I thought for a change I would take 2 off just to see what it would look like, this change became permanent as I thought it looked much better with 2 fog lights

Then it was time for london to brighton again :) when I went i thought I was going to get some new seats or just a wander lol but I came back with a nice newton commercial carpet set and some hi-lo's because the new wider wheels rubbed on the arches on full lock so I got the hi-lo's and raised the front slighly and replaced the ball joints and cups at the same time, then it was carpet time, couple of hours and a lot of glue later it was in

Also at the london to brighton I got a sticker for my rear window which I thought was quite appropiate and had the funny factor :) also due to going down a rather savage pot hole on my way to oxted I had to get a new number plate as mine had smashed, I got a custom one, underneath the registration number I had printed on the number plate "True Brit No German S**T" (wasnt allowed the proper word as garage wouldnt do it :( )

For my 19th i thought I would treat the car to a bit more power so with some birthday money I bought a stage 1 induction kit, this included the following:

LCB (long center branch) exhaust manifold

alloy inlet manifold (which i smoothed out the inside)

carburettor needle and spring

K&N performance air filter

large bore link pipe

Extra engine stableiser (from bulk head to thermostat housing mounts)

Once i fitted all this the car made a deeper nicer noise (difficult to drive quietly) but she was not running correctly so after some investigations we worked out that the supplier had sent me the wrong needle for the carb, We then found a AAA carb needle and put this needle in and she then ran like a beauty.

Very recent to all this i had bought fully adjustable suspension including adjustable tie bars and adjustable lower arms, I fitted them myself with new lower arm bolts and nuts so it was all nice and fresh, I fitted all of these with poly bushes which are good quality bushes rather than just standard bushes and I had also replaced the engine steady bushes with poly bushes.

And finally i fitted a K9 alarm and immobiliser so that it would make the car a bit more secure.
